Meet Eva

Eva, the Angola Country Chair for G100, Oneness & Wisdom Wing, encourages us to discover joy by being intentional about stopping. This can be a challenge in our fast-paced world, where AI is becoming increasingly prevalent in our daily lives, and we are constantly striving to stay ahead or tackle endless to-do lists.

Why We Need to Pause and Be in the Moment

  • Reduces Stress and Anxiety: Taking a moment to pause and appreciate the present can help to calm our minds and reduce feelings of stress and anxiety.
  • Increases Mindfulness: When we are present, we become more aware of our thoughts, feelings, and surroundings. This can help us to make more conscious choices and live more mindfully.
  • Enhances Creativity and Productivity: Taking breaks and stepping away from our work can actually help us be more creative and productive. When we return to our tasks, we often have fresh perspectives and new ideas.
  • Improves Relationships: Being present with the people we care about strengthens our relationships. When we give our full attention to others, they feel valued and appreciated.
  • Increases Overall Wellbeing: Taking time to pause and appreciate the present can lead to a greater sense of overall well-being. We may feel more connected to ourselves and the world around us.

Stop, take a few moments, and discover joy

Joy is about appreciating the little things that bring us happiness. If we do not take the time to notice these moments, they will pass us by, and once that time has passed, we cannot return to them. We cannot turn back the clock. This is why the present moment is called the ‘real true moment’ and is a gift. For more thoughts on joy, click here.
