✨ CULTURE STORIES AND CONNECTION ✨
Ever wondered why certain stories stick with you, or why different groups of people have their own special tales they love to tell? That’s the power of narratives! This workshop, “Culture Stories and Connection – The Impact of Narratives,” is like going on an adventure to explore how stories help shape who we are and the communities we belong to. We’ll look at some of our favourite stories, the messages that they teach us. Next, we’ll explore how to make that story relevant to us today.
✨ BUILDING BLOCKS FOR OUR STORY ✨
Some of my favorite culture stories are about being brave, good friendships, or what symbols mean. These stories have lots of cool parts, like the friends who help out and who we let into our group. We also see how some of these stories have found its way into our customs, and practices, like how we celebrate. For example, I’ve adopted the practice of eating noodles during festivities to symbolise longevity and prosperity.
✨ WHAT IS IT ABOUT? ✨
“The Culture Stories and Connection” is all about looking closely at the stories we’ve heard and maybe never really thought about. We’re going to take a break and ask ourselves if these stories still make sense today and what they mean to us now. Then, we’ll add what we know now to these old stories. We’ll also pick up some cool tips to help us create our own way of sharing our story with others.
